The cinema which had a capacity of 916 seats earlier has now been reduced to 584 seats to add leg space

Meher Theatre started its journey way back on 29th Sep, 1977, by Sh. Lalit Parshad ji after his tremendous efforts in construction. The first movie exhibited in the theatre, based on Ian Flemings 007 James Bond, Diamonds are Forever. Designed by “Kothari and Associates”, Country’s renowned architect, the main objective was to provide Indian audience with English movie at par with global standards. For the first two years after commencing the operations, it exhibited only English movies. Meher Theatre was the first in Agra to start children film festival in 1979 which was a great success.
